Here's more photos from my iphone. Honestly, I've too much photos and I want to share it all of 'em!
Happy and glad to say that I'm finally back in Singapore after 10 days in UK for the World Event Young Artists. It was really an eye opening experience for me, technically, emotionally and visually. Feeling really inspired by all the different mediums of artwork. Cultural exchange of some sorts, Nottingham was the perfect place for the event just that it's not like London. While I first arrived in Heathrow airport, the first thing I wanna do is to go out and experience first hand the cold chilly weather that they don't have it here in Singapore. And boy it doesn't disappoint. It's like the first time a young kid enters a candy store and having the fun of his life, that's how I felt when I felt the cold. I know I can do with that. Taking a coach from Heathrow Airport to Nottingham wasn't bad a idea either. Looking at the beautiful countryside is really different when you taking a coach in Malaysia. Like Duh I know. Excitement was just starting for me. Nottingham. A university town, a cultural town, a really tight space town area where every corner and bend is connected like jigsaw puzzle but not really a jigsaw more like a puzzle. After a few days getting to know the place, getting to different places wasn't a problem anymore. A world gathering of some sort was really interesting and I don't think there's really 1000 artists though. When it comes to my artwork, apparently, there are people out there who don't know what QR Codes is. I guess that's normal. I managed to skip to London for a day! And I went alone! Took a 2 hour train from Nottingham to St. Pancreas station and boy I was excited! How I wish my girlfriend was part of the Singapore team so that we can go to London together, holding hands while we walk pass the London Bridge and enjoy the cool windy breeze. Underground was their subway train and on the escalator, they keep to the right if they are not moving. I'm Kamarul, and at 22 I get to see the Big Ben in London. and the london eye. Beautiful landscape that I can never forget. Singing nursery rhyme about the london bridge falling and now I get to see it with my own eyes it's so unbelievable but I believe it. For the record, I would like to thank my family, my mom and dad for all their support, emotionally and financially. If were'nt for them, I wouldn't have a laptop and photoshop and I wouldn't be who I am today. And a shout out to my love, for believing in me and pushing me to be a better man. Until next time, see you soon United Kingdom. It's time to build my own kingdom, with more ice cream and free ban mian.
The Night Festival 2012 was amazingly amazing. It was an experience, maybe because I was there with my love. Maybe it's the alcohol, maybe I'm just kidding.
