R-G-B

R-G-B from Kamarul on Vimeo.

R-G-B is an experimental visualisation of the spectrum of primary colours. Presented as a triptych, viewers are forced to see this piece in a grand and in epic spectacle. As the title suggests, each frame is made up of one primary colours, place side by side to form one elongated canvas. Scenes of award shows can be seen clearly on the Red and Blue screen, showing famous actors actresses, directors which is accompanied by the sound of cheering, laughing, clapping, as though to suggest a celebration of an event.

This experimental video art explores the logic of how one view these celebrities. We see them almost everyday in our living room on our television screen, but in award shows, are they still themselves? One can imagine the scenes that projected on to the green screen and it is up to the audience how to view this work. Viewers will experienced a monumental feeling due to the 3 colours brightening up the space, wanting to unite together to form a white light that symbolises the foundation of light and video.
